Yes, the Olympic Games 2012 has finally arrived in London. The sporting event has everybody talking and moving… don’t get left behind; jump on the London Olympic Podium!
The Olympic story goes back to ancient Greece, where legend has it that Heracles formed the games and decided to hold them every four years. He was a Greek hero known for his masculinity; he was strong, robust and stamina; he was a competitive God. Events such as javelin, discus, boxing, heptathlon, and running hailed from this ancient time and are popular today.
Prometheus, a Titan mythical hero, gave the sacred flame to mere mortals (that’s you and me) giving humanity the strength to progress …he is remembered as the champion of mankind.
London 2012 is in our sights
So where is the London Olympic Venue? With its unique history, Stratford in East London was chosen and has been transformed to host the Olympic spectacle. The Olympic Park has a stadium, aquatics centre, and velodrome.
Athletes from the United States to Ukraine, Mexico to Malaysia, Brazil to Bahrain, Great Britain to Greece and many more, all corners of the globe under one roof. Olympians united in Stratford London, a theatre of dreams, and we hope the dreams of those competing become a reality.
The Olympic Flame is glowing in the distance.
The five Olympic rings symbolize the five parts of the world united in healthy competition. Massaggi sports massage therapist believes that uniting the five elements—water, nutrition, breathing, exercise, and body massage—as maintenance will bring a healthy balance to every athlete.
Maximizing sports performance and endurance to produce 100% power can be done through regular training and by looking after the body internally. Follow these five elements to avoid physical injury and to develop a focused mind, a winning combination.
One thing is sure: these Olympic Athletes have inspired many Londoners to participate in more sporting activities and new ones, too! Everyone, it seems, wants to be part of this electric atmosphere in different ways. Perhaps you are going to walk to work, jog or cycle?
Londoners of different ages, origins, cultural backgrounds, all walks of life will become fitter and stronger just by traveling from A to B. We all need to be in fine tune if we are going to get on a ‘good bicycle’.
Just a Touch Away
Will everyone decide to get on the Olympic track and run with it? If it’s not your cup of tea, you probably think that a sports massage is not what you need. Most of you have probably already earned your ‘bronze medal’ by getting up for work each day, silver for travelling there and the ‘gold medal’ for sitting behind a desk for 8 hours.
Champions, and you didn’t even realize! You may not be sweating buckets, but all this requires physical effort.
There are so many events to look forward to: the thrill of the men’s 100m final, the relay race, the unexpected sport that everyone gets hooked on, an unlikely hero that gives us all hope and lifts our spirits, the legend who will light the final flame for the games to commence; who will it be? Will Muhammad Ali’s moment at the Atlanta games ever be matched?
The most outstanding sportsman of our time, showing courage in the face of adversity.
This is London’s third time hosting the Olympic Games, the first city to do this in its glorious history. In the first place, the winner… London 2012!
