The Fascinating Science Behind Light Touch Therapy: How Your Body Responds

Light touch muscle release therapy and the body’s electric

Techniques such as light touch muscle release therapy or acupuncture can stimulate the flow of this bio-electrical life force, known in a traditional sense as Qi, by balancing the body at key points by inserting acupuncture needles.

As we know, the body is more than simple cells, muscles, tissues, and organs. Specific therapies and martial arts exercises can help us access the electrical activity and energy flow surrounding our cells. Our ancestors knew that our cells give off energy that can be translated to an electromagnetic field surrounding our body.

Light touch muscle release therapy, also called the Emmett Technique, can influence muscle action and naturally reset the bio-electromagnetic signals around our body’s muscles.

Emmett therapy is an understanding of the body’s response to light touch. The Emmett practitioner also uses verbal cues to help make positive changes in the subconscious mind and reset the muscular balance and the energy field surrounding a body’s cells in the area of injuries right from their starting point in the brain.

The brain-computer analogy

A simple analogy explaining how the brain works is similar to computer software. The brain is a genuine multi-tasking, multi-thread processing unit and is very good at storing and collecting information.

Trained Emmett therapists can input commands into the software, triggering a positive result. By stimulating the muscles and key points known as Emmett Points (EP) around the body, the therapist can stimulate the body to a natural self-healing mechanism while telling the brain to stop sending the signals, creating pain restriction and stiff symptoms in the first place. As a result, patients can quickly experience relief from muscular pain and discomfort and increase their range of movement without analyzing how the injury ever happened…

Emmett’s therapist, the body electrician

My name is Ben Pianese, and I provide the Emmett Technique. I can tailor a healing treatment to each patient so that you receive a unique treatment designed to help you manage your symptoms. My journey, which led to the creation of Massaggi, started from a knee injury I suffered as a young man. Seeking a solution and learning about different treatments and therapies interested me in finding a way to alleviate muscle pain.

Background and experience

Coupled with my background as an electrical/electronic technician, which gave me a window to compare how the body works similar to an electrical circuit, sending bio-electrical impulses to the muscles from the brain and the composition of the electrical life force that flows across the cells of the body and beyond. My background and experience led me to study many forms of sports massage and pain relief therapy and get trained to become an expert in sports massage techniques.

Massaggi was born from my vision for a clinic where massage and modern scientific techniques joined together in an individualized approach to massage therapy. This is the clinic as it stands today. In continuing with our strategy of using innovative modern techniques, Massaggi recommends the Emmett light touch muscle release therapy, which has been proven to be one of the fastest-working and most effective treatments for balancing electrical signals in the body’s muscle and brain with light touch to create instant relief from aches and pain and improving quality of life.
